# Marketing Domain: Operating Model and Growth Responsibilities

> The Marketing operating model defines campaign ownership, lead flow governance, content operations, and the KPIs that measure pipeline contribution.

The Marketing domain owns campaign strategy, lead generation, content operations, and attribution reporting. It serves marketing managers, demand generation teams, content marketers, and marketing operations. All roles collaborate in SpineWorkspace from a single projected context, so campaign data, content schedules, and lead quality metrics stay aligned.

## Operating Model

The Marketing domain operates on a portfolio model. Marketing managers define quarterly themes and allocate budget across channels. Demand gen builds and launches campaigns. Content creates assets and manages the pipeline. Marketing ops ensures data hygiene, attribution models, and system integrations. Spine Fabric unifies web, ad, CRM, and email data so every team sees the same funnel.

## Responsibilities

* Plan and execute multi-channel campaigns aligned to revenue goals.
* Define audience segments and manage targeting across platforms.
* Produce, review, and distribute content assets on schedule.
* Generate marketing-qualified leads and deliver them to sales.
* Measure touchpoint influence and report pipeline attribution.
* Manage event promotion, registration, and follow-up workflows.
* Maintain data quality, UTM governance, and lead scoring models.

## KPIs

* Marketing-qualified leads generated per quarter.
* Cost per lead and cost per qualified opportunity.
* Pipeline influenced and pipeline sourced by campaign.
* Content production velocity and engagement rates.
* Lead-to-opportunity conversion rate by channel.
* Event registration, attendance, and post-event engagement.

## Non-Goals

The Marketing domain does not own sales qualification, contract negotiation, or post-sale customer expansion. It does not replace dedicated ad management platforms, though it ingests and reports on their outcomes.
