# Operations Business Context: Entities, Events, and Evidence

> The core entities, relationships, events, and evidence types that define the operational model inside SpineWorkspace.

The Business Context for Operations is the semantic layer that lets Spine Fabric assemble meaningful views and proposals. It defines what exists, how things relate, what happened, and what evidence exists to support each action.

### Entities

| Entity | Description | Key Attributes |

| Request | An incoming operational need | id, category, priority, status, submitterId, createdAt, slaDeadline |
| Ticket | A tracked unit of work | id, requestId, assigneeId, status, resolutionCategory, closedAt |
| Asset | A managed resource | id, type, serialNumber, assignedTo, location, refreshDate, status |
| Vendor | An external supplier | id, name, riskTier, contractEndDate, primaryContact, status |
| Policy | A governing rule | id, title, scope, effectiveDate, reviewDate, ownerId |
| Process | A defined operational sequence | id, name, trigger, steps, ownerId, lastRunDate |
| Approval | An authorization record | id, requestId, approverId, decision, decidedAt, scope |
| KPI | An operational metric | id, name, target, currentValue, frequency, alertThreshold |

### Relationships

* A **Request** may create one or more **Tickets**
* A **Ticket** may reference one or more **Assets** or **Vendors**
* A **Policy** governs one or more **Approval** workflows
* A **Process** may generate **Tickets** and require **Approvals**
* An **Asset** may be linked to a **Vendor** for procurement or support
* A **KPI** may aggregate across **Tickets**, **Assets**, or **Requests**

### Events

* Request created, updated, escalated, resolved
* Ticket assigned, status changed, closed
* Asset assigned, refreshed, retired
* Vendor onboarded, risk reviewed, offboarded
* Policy published, amended, deprecated
* Approval submitted, approved, rejected, delegated
* KPI threshold crossed, alert fired, target reset

### Evidence

* Slack threads and email chains linked to requests
* Asset photos, serial scans, and transfer receipts
* Vendor contracts, security questionnaires, and audit reports
* Approval audit logs with timestamps and approver identity
* Policy exception tickets with justification and sign-off
