# Spine Fabric in Operations: Context Assembly and Projection

> How Spine Fabric ingests source systems, unifies operational entities, and projects contextual views into the Operations domain.

Spine Fabric is the shared data layer that powers every domain. For Operations, it ingests from service desks, workspace suites, documentation tools, and HR systems, then unifies entities and events so the domain can project accurate views on demand.

### Sources and Scopes

| Source System | Scope | Ingestion Pattern |
| - | - | - |
| ServiceNow | Tickets, assets, vendors, approvals | Webhook events and nightly bulk sync |
| Jira | Project-linked ops tickets and vendor issues | Real-time issue webhooks |
| Google Workspace | User directory, org hierarchy, license data | Directory API with delta sync |
| Notion | Policy pages, process docs, vendor contracts | Page change webhooks and scheduled crawl |
| Slack | Request mentions, escalation threads | Message archive export and keyword listeners |
| HR/IT systems | Employee data, access roles, asset assignments | Scheduled API pull with identity mapping |

### Event Sequence

1. A new ServiceNow ticket triggers a webhook to Spine Fabric
2. The event is normalized into a `TicketCreated` event with standardized fields
3. Schema mapping links the ticket to a `Request`, an `Asset`, and a `Policy`
4. Context assembly pulls the submitter profile, related tickets, asset history, and vendor record
5. The enriched entity is projected into the **Request Queue**, **Asset Inventory**, and **Approval Dashboard** views
6. Twin indexes the change so agents and users can discover it in the next session

<Note>
  Projection is lazy and scoped. A user opening the Asset Inventory only receives the asset subgraph they are authorized to see.
</Note>
