# Product Engineering Communication Patterns and Channels

> How humans, Twin, and agents communicate across tickets, incidents, and releases in the Product Engineering domain.

Communication in the Product Engineering domain spans humans, Twin, and specialized agents. SpineWorkspace routes messages through the shared context layer so no thread is lost between tools or sessions.

### Patterns

* **Human to Human**: PMs and engineers leave notes on issues, request reviews, and flag blockers. Spine links these notes to the entity graph so context is preserved even when the conversation moves between Slack, Linear, or GitHub.
* **Human to Twin**: Practitioners ask Twin for status summaries, draft incident updates, or request context on a release. Twin responds with assembled evidence and proposes next steps.
* **Twin to Agent**: Twin delegates incident triage to the Triage agent, release monitoring to the Release agent, and schema questions to the Schema agent. Each agent reports back to Twin.
* **Agent to Agent**: The Triage agent may request context from the Discovery agent to find related commits or tickets during an incident. The Release agent may ask the Schema agent about migration risk before a rollout.
* **Agent to Tool**: Agents execute capabilities against source systems. The Release agent queries Datadog for deployment health; the Triage agent pages through PagerDuty.

All communication is logged with receipts so actions are auditable.
