The Content domain exists to help teams plan, produce, review, and distribute content at scale. It brings together writers, editors, content managers, and knowledge managers in one shared surface so no draft, review comment, or deadline lives in a silo.

Operating Model

Content teams work in sprints, campaigns, and continuous improvement cycles. The Content domain mirrors this rhythm: chapters are tracked as versions, due dates live in the editorial calendar, and approvals are governed capabilities. The domain is not a standalone CMS. It is a projection of the Spine Fabric that unifies signals from Notion, WordPress, Confluence, and more into one context layer.

Responsibilities

  • Plan editorial calendars and campaigns across channels.
  • Draft, review, and approve content within governed workflows.
  • Publish or update content in connected source systems.
  • Maintain a searchable, versioned knowledge base.
  • Manage reusable assets and enforce brand consistency.

KPIs

  • Time from draft to publication.
  • Review cycle length and approval velocity.
  • Content reuse rate (assets used across articles).
  • Knowledge base freshness (time since last update).
  • Publication error rate after release.

Non-Goals

  • The Content domain does not replace dedicated design tools. Asset editing still belongs in Creative.
  • It is not a standalone analytics suite. Traffic and engagement metrics remain in Marketing Analytics.
  • It does not manage paid media buying or ad operations.
