The Sales domain owns pipeline generation, qualification, progression, and closure. It serves account executives, sales development reps, sales managers, and revenue operations. Every role works from the same projected context in SpineWorkspace, so forecasts, deal reviews, and handoffs happen without data gaps.

Operating Model

The Sales domain runs on a shared pipeline model. SDRs source and qualify leads, then pass qualified opportunities to AEs. AEs manage deal progression with support from managers during forecast calls. RevOps ensures data hygiene, enforces stage definitions, and produces rollup reporting. Spine Fabric unifies activity, conversation, and engagement signals so no one works from stale or partial data.

Responsibilities

  • Generate pipeline from inbound and outbound channels.
  • Qualify leads against ideal customer profile and buying intent.
  • Progress opportunities through defined stages with required evidence.
  • Provide accurate forecast commitments by period.
  • Execute pricing and proposal approvals within guardrails.
  • Hand off closed-won accounts to customer success with full context.
  • Review closed-lost outcomes to improve future execution.

KPIs

  • Pipeline coverage ratio by quarter.
  • Average deal size and sales cycle length.
  • Win rate by segment, source, and rep.
  • Forecast accuracy versus actual bookings.
  • Lead-to-opportunity conversion rate.
  • Activity volume and engagement score.

Non-Goals

The Sales domain does not own product roadmap decisions, post-sale implementation delivery, or billing operations. It does not replace dedicated forecasting tools for board reporting, though it supplies the unified data that feeds them.
